SXSW: The Food Effect

The Food Effect Presented by Land O’Lakes at Trinity Hall, 311 E. Fifth St. is one of the many exciting projects put together for this year’s SXSW 2018. This event has speakers and panels directed toward connections between food, agriculture, technology. Attendees have the chance to learn about food production, the issues with food on a global scale and how technology is providing solutions.

Land ‘O’ Lakes presented various panels such as “Dairy and Dialogue: Meet Today’s Modern Farmer,” “Central Dialogue: Why the Future of Food Will Look Like the Past—Human,” “Central Dialogue: The Mathematical Age of Agriculture,” and “Nerd Nite: A Tale of Two Cities—Empowering Communities on the Front Lines of Food Security.”

The Food Effect includes collaborators from National Geographic, Microsoft, International Development (USAID) and more. Not only does this platform address the importance of food production, but it also gives attendees a chance to interact with some of the various interactive exhibits.

Here is one of the interactive exhibits showcased by WallPen which is a German company that services E1 printers to print pictures and graphics for both indoor and outdoor settings.
