Augmented Reality and Sensory Experiences

The special event Here What You See. Experience Bose AR featured a prototype of AR sunglasses, a new audio augmented reality. This new technology will allow users to “hear what they see in ways that were impossible before.”

Attendees entered a world of new audio visualization though a new form of technological sunglasses. These sunglasses offer “an audible layer of information and experiences,” where users’ experience is engaged through hearing rather seeing a display on the lenses.

Moreover, the sunglasses analyze what users are looking at and its audio will augment it. For example, when looking at a historical monument, the sunglasses will provide audio relating to it, such as a famous speech. Another example, Bose mentioned was the sunglasses will provide the weather forecast when users look up at the sky.

Another special event, The STARZ Sensory House, introduced the new STARZ original series Vida and Sweetbitter. These series are about young women as they journey through adulthood.

The event featured all female vendors, and the series’ storylines were highlighted through the senses of sight, smell, taste, touch, and sound. Activities included tastings from a candy bar, experimenting with scents by creating your own fragrances, and much more.
