The Cosmos at SXSW

Yury Romanenko said “The Cosmos is a magnet… once you’ve been there, all you can think about is how to get back.”

At SXSW, NASA has done its best to bring all the facets of the agency to the trade show, from space probes, telescopes, and new deep space adventures.

The deepest look in to the universe yet is The James Webb Space Telescope.

The commercial crew program has the promise to revolutionize low-Earth orbit space travel and give NASA the “space” to go far beyond Earth.

There is so much more to space exploration than just people. Our pathfinders are out there at the planets. They are also going to moons and dwarf planets, some of the most interesting places in the neighborhood.

The Orion, its rocket SLS, and more will be the vehicles in the next phase in the human exploration of the solar system.

The lessons learned from the ISS have gotten us ready to go. Space walks are a big place where we have learned so much about long duration space flight.
