I really enjoyed reading this and watching the interview with Kel Smith. With more and more people beginning to live longer with disabilities, and with the issue of mental health and treatment recently garnering more and more attention, it is so important for innovative tech hackers to consider the needs of these people. I, like so many others, know family members and friends living with various physical and mental disabilities, and I’ve heard of how much technology has changed so many of their lives for the better. I liked being able to learn more about the My Shelter Foundation, as well as emerging apps like AisleWon that are making it easier for people with disabilities to have access to the things they need. I hope more apps like this continue to emerge.
