Mindfulness. The word evokes statuesque yoga poses and little serene smiles, but it is so much more than carefully curated Instagram poses. In order to truly succeed, one must overcome the constant cycle of stress and sleep deprivation to understand that more can be accomplished by actually doing less. Michelle Courtney Berry is a national award-winning entrepreneur, speaker, trainer and writer who works with students, alumni and other top performers to help them manage stress to achieve their goals through mindful self-care.

Berry learned early the importance of sleep. In her 2015 TEDx talk, She shared how sleep deprivation costs the nation $360 billion in health-related issues and substandard work. The importance of sleep was only the beginning of her powerful message.
“Once I truly started living from the inside out, I was authentically happy and truly matched with clients,” she said. “I understood why they were driven and why they so desperately craved both balance and achievement.”
At SXSW she will conduct a discussion on mindful self-care and share how it brings only positive results.
