The Texas State University held for the third year an Innovation Lab where student teams are able to showcase their projects in innovative technology. Two of the teams that were able to present at the Innovation lab were Science, Technology and Advanced Research (STAR) Park and XReality: Where Augmented Reality Meets the Internet of Things.
In the video above you will see an interview from a student member at the Star Park which is located in San Marcos, Texas and their work with technology. They describe their work as a science and technology research incubator. They mention that the work with biomedical companies and sell lab spaces for startup companies. Currently, they are looking to fill a spot in their STAR Park and are hoping to expand their Park by 2019.
Next XReality, showcases their project where they where they were able to create an augmented reality headset where users can look at an embedded system and retrieve data from the system. This will allow the data to be easily accessible as well as interactive for users when using the headset. The plan of trying to build the gap between the physical world and the virtual world of retrieving data.
To see the interviews and the students that represented the many teams at the innovation lab see below. Overall the Innovation lab was a huge success for students being able to interact and share their progress in their emerging tech projects.
