In today’s world, sports have become more than just statistics and stories about who won or lost. Sports are not pure escapism, as anything involving real people is real life. Today’s biggest stars are not just coming from movies and music, but from famous athletes whose stories off the field are just as captivating as the plays they make on them. The stories happening in sports have become a part of our culture. I had the pleasure of speaking with one of the panelists, Karin Hammerberg, Lead Producer at Bleacher Report, for an upcoming session at SXSW that focuses on these stories, and the power behind them.

Hammerberg will be teaming up with Bryan Tucker from Saturday Night Live, Grant Jones from The Kicker, and Scott Langerman from ACE Media to dig deeper into how the stories coming out of sports are becoming some of the most interesting and powerful in the world.
