We are all familiar with the GPS technology that can retrieve our location using our smartphones or cars and helps us navigate unfamiliar streets with ease.  What many may not know is that significant strides are being made in mapping technology that enables the delivery of pinpoint locations for users, even while indoors.

As this technology matures and finds its place with indoor navigation apps and emergency service providers the question arises: if anything can be mapped, and anyone located on that map, what happens to the idea of privacy?  Where does our love of convenience and security intersect with that idea?

Carol Politi, CEO of TRX Systems, a company using embedded sensors in enabled mobile devices to build indoor maps, will be asking just these questions, and suggesting possible solutions, with her panel: We are Mapping Your World, Inside: What’s Private?
