Depending on your online goals and the content on your website, a rich Web experience may or may not be a fit for your future on the Web.
CJ Gammon, computer scientist at Adobe Systems Inc., said a rich Web experience is more than just text on a website with vertical scrolling capabilities.
Rich Web experiences are more “immersive engaging experiences” that resemble a game console experience more than your average, typical website, Gammon said.
Some examples of richer Web experiences are the addition of gamification and the incorporation of videos, he said.
Gammon added that these richer Web experiences are useful for websites that serve to entertain or engage users.
For more about rich Web experiences, keep up with Gammon’s blog or attend his panel at SXSWi on March 7 from 2-3 p.m. at Radisson Town Lake, Riverside Ballroom, 111 E. Cesar Chavez.
