The first thoughts that might come to mind could be “Girl Power” and feminists, yet contribution, helping and aiding the personal growth of others more appropriately describes Tech Superwomen: Mentors and Mentees, FTW.

Mentorship conjured a number of different ideals and definitions for panelists.

While there are many ways to find a mentor within any type of business setting, panelists suggested that finding the right mentor was more of a personal endeavor.

“Look at the most important things and who was the most important person in your life at the time,” said Leslie Bradshaw. “You will find that different points different people mean different things to you.”

Panelists stressed that mentees seeking out mentoring should look for people with positions of power and to break down self-created barriers when finding people to network with.
