As my day was just starting and hers was winding down, moderator of The Last of the Launch and Leave ‘Ems Anjali Ramachandran, who is based in London, and I met on Skype for a quick interview about her upcoming SXSWi panel.
The Last of the Launch and Leave ‘Ems will discuss the fleeting trend of agencies creating one-off campaigns, and how they are now using more integrated approaches through emerging platforms. But when is the right time to cut the strings from the agency? And what is the best business solution for both parties?

Conrad Lisco, Group Director at R/GA, who heads mobile and emerging platforms, provides a valuable perspective to the panel. R/GA was named Digital Agency of the Decade by AdWeek, and won the Digital Campaign of the Decade for their Nike+ campaign in 2009. Mel Exon, Co-Founder and Managing Partner at BBH Labs previously worked for BBH, Bartle Bogle Hegarty, who has been named Agency of the Year by Creative Review and BTAA (British Television Advertising Awards) and was recently named the agency of record for Baileys. Now Mel heads BBH Labs, BBH’s global innovation unit, so she will certainly brings experience from a traditional agency and can provide a great look in to how the business is changing with the emergence of new technology. Peter Parkes, who leads social media at Skype, will represent the client side of the business, a look into what a client wants from an agency, and how the client-agency relationship works when it comes to digital campaigns. Anjali, from Made by Many, says she is going to push the panelists, and the panelists have said they are up for it! So you can guarantee there will be interesting, innovative content, and a lot to learn from this panel.
