Overwhelmed is a word I have heard a lot this week. With thousands of SXSW panels, and parties, meet-ups, and showcases to attend, it is nearly impossible to not feel this way. Luckily, there are many talented developers out there that have made all of our lives easier with do-it-all apps to help us juggle our busy SXSW schedules.
SCHED* is a free app that gives users detailed information about the 6,452 events (and counting!) that will be happening over the 10 days of the festival. In addition to giving you basic event info, SCHED* provides you with helpful tidbits like sponsor names, whether or not an RSVP or badge is required, and what kinds of food or beverages will be available at the event. Once you create your own schedule on the SCHED* website or app, you can share with friends on all of your your social networks. How easy is that?
On Tuesday I chatted with Taylor McKnight, Marvin McTaw, and Keaton Kustler, three of the folks behind SCHED*. Like you, they have been working around the clock to get prepared for SXSW, which kicks off this Friday, March 11. Watch as they chat with me about what SCHED* is bringing to the table this year, all the cool things you’ll be using the app for, and get a sneak peak at the handy pocket map they’ve created for you. Oh, and one more thing, if you see any of these guys next week, be sure and give em’ a high five!
