Daniel Hon, CEO of Six to Start began his speech with “We (television) are done.”
Folks from England talked about their strategies. Editor and social media chief from BBC and crews from web content developer Six to Start were panelists.
They all agreed with the bright future of the web environment as content providers, and telling a story for online resides in online only. It means a TV story is able to transformed to web, but content built for online is not going to work for TV, which is a huge loss for BBC.
BBC’s Multiplatform Channel Editor, Jo Twist says, “It is a creative challenge what you can do in cross platform content… TV production at this moment is very much a product that has a beginning and end whereas online experiences are wholely about process.. and keep producing.. and we create again again and again.”
