We all agree that Monday morning is the toughest day to be creative. Can you visualize why? Five panelists; Sunni Brown owner of Bright Info Design, Tom Crawford CEO of VizThink, Dave Gray chairman of XPLANE, Lee LeFever principal of Common Craft, and Dan Roam president of Digital Roam INC., talked about how to visualize your thinking.
Sunni Brown defined visual thinking as a process that transfers verbal/nonverbal forms of communication to visual formats for better access. She explained that there are many benefits of visual thinking. It helps support problem solving, consensus building, decision making, and increased comprehension and information.
Using words is a good tool for telling a story, but showing a picture could be much more powerful. Dan Roam said that there is nothing to lose using visual media. Start with a piece of blank paper. You’ll be surprised how quickly you fill up the space.
