- The video site Joost has teamed up with Europe’s most popular social network Netlog to provide videos to their 40 million users.
- The government has finally made some progress on the DTV conversion fiasco with the promise of providing the long awaited coupons in 2 and a half weeks due to funding provided in the new stimulus package.
- Craigslist came into trouble recently with a federal lawsuit filed by an Illinois sheriff who has accused the site of knowingly promoting prostitution. The sheriff has named Craigslist as the “single largest source of prostitution in the nation.”
- Barnes and Noble bought Fictionwise, an online electronic book retailer, for $15.7 million in cash yesterday to compete with Amazon.
