Puzzle takers!
Every year Sandy and Sarah Weisz design a twisted race-style puzzle for their friends. A Chicago based web-designer, Sandy’s curiosity as a child drew his friends’ attention when he decided to celebrate his birthday differently. Sarah, who is also a writing consultant for non-profit organizations, says it is very interesting how a group of people solve a puzzle in a given time, approaching differently.

The session started with a warm-up puzzle.  Wow, it was fun to watch how people, who you never met before, got together and became enthusiastic to beat others!

Teamwork!

It has been a couple years now, and the Weisz invite their friends to join their games in Chicago, grouping 3-4 people for each team. They believe it is the ideal number to get everyone’s input to solve the puzzle. The couple see that participants are getting better and smarter, thank to the iPhone!

The clue

Sandy says there is a relationship between puzzle and interactivity. “Creative process” applies to anything we make, and it turned out that most of his friends, who solved his puzzle were either web designers or programmers.
