There are only 22 days left until the SXSW Interactive Festival! This means if you are planning on attending the interactive conference, you should probably start thinking about which panels
you will drop in on. There are five full- days of exciting and informative panels, which makes it quite difficult when choosing the ones you would most like to attend.
I am very excited about many of the panels, but the ones that interest me the most are about Webisodes and online video.
On March 14th, at 11:30 a.m. there will be a panel called, “Crash the Server–How to Market your Movie by Achieving Webisode Awesomeness.” The panelists include Zak Knutson and Joey Figueroa of Chop Shop Entertainment, along with long time collaborator Ming Chen of View Askew Productions.
This interactive workshop will focus on achieving massive media exposure through internet webisodes. The panelists will discuss the process of creating a webisode along with the importance of internet video distribution. Not only do I think this panel will include a good time, but I also think it will be helpful in creating ideas for those who want succeed in online video distribution.
Another inviting panel is, “Soapbox Spielbergs: Making Hollywood FX on Indie Budgets,” which is being held on March 14th at 3:30 pm. Panelists Eric Beck and Timothy Shey from Next New Networks, along with Rudy Jahchan from 8bit Brownies Inc will discuss how Web video series are getting closer to achieving Hollywood-quality special effects on zero budgets.
The SXSW Interactive schedule goes on and on to include great panels that will be presented by knowledgeable panelists. So before time catches up with you, check out the SXSW Interactive schedule and pick your panels!
