Audrey Boring is a marketing, social media, and advertising specialist with an Art History degree from The University of South Florida. As a child she always knew she wanted to be a writer. As she got older that dream became a little more difficult but in 2010, she was given the opportunity to write at an advertising agency. Jumping in full force into writing, Audrey realized her childhood dream was still plausible and found advertising and marketing helped to fulfill her creative side. Audrey has since gone on to work with such clients as Blinds.com, International Paper and St. Louis Children’s Hospital. She has since joined Aces Branding to develop social media strategy capabilities along with her freelance business which handles social media marketing for Job Propulsion Lab (JPL) where she met her client and co-speaker, Bart Cleveland.

Audrey has conducted workshops with JPL at various schools and businesses utilizing the Blitz method which focuses on “multiplying our ideas quickly and find innovative ways to increase our business and the brand experience for our own customers.” JPL has made its mission to help people find creative careers by hosting workshops on the topic. After attending SXSW for the first time in 2017, Audrey and Bart realized that their philosophy with JPL and approach to the overall creative process coincides with the mission of SXSW.

As Audrey stated, “people who love to solve problems are creative by nature. Problem solving requires abstract thinking, which is creativity. Most of us who consider ourselves creative souls are unfortunately trapped in non-creative jobs.” Audrey hopes that this session will help audience members to inject more creativity into their job and career. Anyone who dreams of a creative career or wants to work on their problem-solving skills should consider attending this session. Audience members will walk away with a clear goal and action plan to get their creative career moving to the next level.
