  1. This sounds like it was such an interesting and informative panel! These data detectors could forever change the sometimes grueling and tedious process of gathering data to use in a story. The journalist in me is very intrigued by the thought of having access to apps that would allow me to tap into data signals for reporting. So cool! I liked reading about how Sarah Williams used small, handheld air quality sensors used to measure pollution during the 2008 Olympic Games. It’s hard to think that things like that are even possible, but it’s so interesting to see the possibilities that tech innovation is providing to journalists.
